As owners, we work tirelessly to provide professional and exceptional care for all of our clients. It is for that reason that all of our doulas are highly vetted and screened to ensure the highest of standards and quality of care. It is our mission to elevate the role of the birth and postpartum doula. We do this by combining compassionate client care with unwavering professionalism. These are standards that we expect all of our doulas to uphold while bringing their own unique experience, education, and passion to client work.

Below you will find an application to join our team as an independent contractor. It is an electronic application so please fill it out in it's entirety in one sitting and submit along with a resume and cover letter. Incomplete applications will not be considered. We will reach out to you to after reviewing your application if we’d like to schedule an interview.

Doulas of Long Beach is a subsidiary of National Baby Co., LLC. All members of our team enter join as an independent contractor of National Baby Co.

Member eligibility

  • Trained through a professional doula or NCS organization.

  • Flexible schedule, reliable transportation, working cell phone and childcare access (if applicable)

  • Team Player

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Reliability

  • Hold current certification in Child & Infant CPR and Pediatric First Aid by Red Cross or AHA

  • Hold liability insurance

  • Have a EIN tax ID or DBA for your doula business

  • Interview with Lauren & Chelsea

  • Sign Independent Contractor Agreement and complete new member paperwork

  • Consent to a background check

  • Schedule an on-boarding appointment to learn about agency policies & procedures

  • Submit Bio & Headshot for website

  • Start taking clients!
